David martin

is a drummer, music producer, and videographer based in Nashville, TN.

Born and raised in Fairfax, VA, his musical talent became apparent at the age of 11,, after taking piano lessons and learning trombone in the elementary school band. Shortly after, drums became a passionate obsession and would continue to drive him throughout high school, where he played in the Percussion Ensemble as well as multiple rock bands. In 2007, he formed a three-piece rock band with two fellow students that would later become Wings of Apollo.

Wings of Apollo developed a strong local following in the Washington D.C and Northern Virginia area by playing a few shows a year, when all members were back from their respective colleges.  Although music seemed a promising career path, David decided to earn a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from James Madison University to help navigate the band's journey in the music industry. The continued local success of the band led them to relocate to nashville., tn in 2012 to further pursue their dreams in the music capital of the world.

in 2014, david shifted directions and started a band with wings of apollo bassist, Pat graves. Under the name mutual groove, they quickly became the go-to rhythm section for nashville's growing underground community.

While Mutual groove developed, David capitalized on his education and launched his own music business in 2015; DMart Music. Specializing in Drumming, Audio recording, Video Production, and beat making, he's been bouncing between creative projects ever since.

in 2017, Mutual Groove signed with the up-and-coming nashville hip hop artist, Stealing oceans. After releasing the debut ep "Let The kids play" through starstruck records in april 2018, the group has been touring the nation and writing new songs.
